Those four cabins open into a dining room/kitchen area. You'll also have two bathrooms on board with a shower. You'll be spending much of your time above deck, which has a rubber dinghy for reaching the shore from a buoy and plenty of room to lay out and enjoy the sun.

DAY 1 | Start Travel

The adventure begins! Meet your skipper and fellow travellers at ACI Split Marina at 2pm and set sail into the crisp, blue waters of the Adriatic Sea.

DAY 1 | Overnight Stay party

Day 1 will get you comfortable with sailing as we head out into our opening day regatta. We’ll head straight for the island of Brac, where you can enjoy an evening swim in a secluded natural bay.

DAY 2 | Overnight Stay party

Today we’ll make our way down the coast to the breathtaking town of Makarska, enjoying some beautiful swim stops along the way. Makarska nestles under the massive peaks of the Biokovo mountain range, with Mt Jure being the highest seaside peak in the Mediterranean. For nightlife options, there is the infamous club "Deep", a natural cave next to the sea. Tonight we join our brothers and sisters from Sail Croatia for the infamous ‘Pirate Party’ in the cave!

Optional Extra:

DAY 3 | Overnight Stay party

Set sail to one of Croatia’s largest and most famous islands, Hvar, where we’ll make our way to the small town of Jelsa. Surrounded by two of the largest mountains on the island, St Nikola and East Hum, the perfect backdrop is set for a picturesque Croatian experience. Jelsa usually hosts our Brugal Rum raft-up party. Just imagine a small bay with yachts rafted up, swimming and drinking rum on a sunny day – epic! Later you have the option to visit the UNESCO protected world Heritage site of Stari Grad, where you can visit a local farm and winery to experience Croatian wine at its best!

Optional Extra:

Hvar (Palmizana)
DAY 4 | Overnight Stay party

We set sail around the other side of Hvar island today to visit Hvar Town, where we will stay in the small area of Palmizana. Catch a water taxi to Hvar town to experience the ‘French Riviera’ of Croatia, home of super yachts, DJ’s and epic beach parties! Climb the hill to explore the 7th century fort ruins overlooking the harbour, before enjoying sunset cocktails at Hula Hula Bar! After dinner mingle with the locals and fellow travellers at Nautica Bar or party into the early morning at the famous Carpe Diem!

Optional Extra:

Vis Town
DAY 5 | Overnight Stay party

Awake and set sail for the majestic island of Vis, one of the most outlying islands on the Dalmatian coast. We head to the abandoned submarine tunnel which is connected to a subsurface tunnel system and was used for soldiers to live and work in WWII! We then continue onto Vis Town where you can explore and embrace the laid back culture of this island, then join us for a party in the fortress later that night!

Optional Extras:

DAY 6 | Overnight Stay party

Rise and shine! Today we’ll get up early for a breathtaking experience of Vis’ Blue Caves*, an island cave system accessible only by boat. The blue turquoise water and refracted light into the cave make for exciting and amazing photo opportunities. We then make our way to the island of Solta and will dock in the bay of Maslinica for the night.

*Blue Caves visit is subject to weather conditions. High tides and winds will prevent access to the caves.

DAY 7 | Overnight Stay party

Enjoy your last day sailing as we make our way back to Split, the UNESCO protected World Heritage city with an abundance of Roman architecture and the spectacular Diocletian's Palace! If you didn't get the opportunity to experience Split prior to your departure, this is the time to explore and discover many hidden cafes, bars and nightlife with your new friends for your final big night!

DAY 8 | Finish Travel

Rise and shine – at 8:30am you’ll say goodbye to your Skipper and make your way on to your next adventure. Why not visit the famous Krka National Park and Plitvice Lakes on our National Parks Road Trip!

Croatia Yacht Tour
Rated 4.7/5 based on 66 reviews in 2016
“We spent a week on the Dubrovnik-Split route on the Flotilla tour which was an absolute dream trip of a lifetime. From start to finish Med Experience were absolutely fantastic and we would not hesitate to recommend them! The sailing team were brilliant - we had 4 yachts in our flotilla - Greta, the tour leader, was excellent - very knowledgeable, entertaining and quite frankly hilarious!”
- Sarah, United Kingdom.
“We had a week we will never forget. We were lucky enough to have an outstanding guide on board our yacht and she provided plenty of entertainment and banter! Our skipper had a great personality, had great knowledge of Croatia and was a great skipper. Everyone on our yacht got along well which is always a positive.”
- Josh, Australia

Med Experience lets you experience the Dalmatian Coast on a yacht. Most tour operators in Croatia operate on large motor cruisers that don’t actually get to sail due to the time constraints. Since you’ll be travelling with a small group, you'll get more time to relax and more experience sailing. You will have a unique small group feel whilst travelling with a number of other yachts in the flotilla so in the evenings everyone gets together for the social experiences.

Yes! This is one of our favourite things about Med Experience. Whilst your skipper will be in charge of the yacht, from time to time the skipper may even ask you to help out – sailing fourteen metres of yacht by yourself isn’t easy – but for the most part you’ll enjoy the sound of the wind in the sails as you lay on the ship’s deck during the day. Of course, we don’t have control over the wind, so on days when the weather conditions aren't optimal for sailing, we’ll use our motor to make our way around the coast.

Breakfast is included and one lunch will be provided. Each yacht is also equipped with a kitchenette including gas stove, oven and kettle. You will need to organise food and drink through the week. There is a small grocery store at ACI Marina in Split and supermarkets nearby. It is easy to stock up along the way so it is never too much of an issue to sort out breakfast and lunch.
In the evenings, you'll have a wide variety of restaurant options. Croatia has delicious, locally-grown food, and your skippers will be happy to recommend the perfect restaurant suitable for any budget.

A tourist tax of 20 Euros per person is not included in the price. This is to be paid locally.

Even though Croatia joined the European Union in July 2013, their currency is still the Kuna. The best way to get Kunas is to withdraw directly from an ATM (available in most large towns including at Split Airport).

Check in is from 2pm - 3pm in ACI Split Marina.

The tour ends in ACI Split Marina. We ask all our passengers to disembark by 8:30am to allow us time to clean the yacht before the next departure. Detailed directions to the marina will be emailed to you when you book your tour.

Most flights will arrive into Split with enough time to make it to the marina by 3pm. If you do miss the group, you'll need to utilise Croatia's extensive network of public ferries and catamarans to catch up. Don't worry though, we'll give you the phone number for the skipper who will help talk you through the process and meet you at the yachts when you arrive.

The best way to imagine our yachts is like a campervan on the water: Four sleeping rooms, two bathrooms (toilet and shower), one common room with kitchen supplies and a whole deck above you to relax under the sun.

Our prices are based on twin share cabins. The yachts contain double and twin cabins. We will always put friends who book together in the same cabin.

Our yachts feature double and twin cabins (bunks). We reserve our twin cabins for solo travellers who will be matched up with another independent traveller, while groups of friends sleep in double cabins. Whilst we endeavour to bunk travellers of the same sex together, you may share your cabin with a member of the opposite sex.

If you don’t want to share your cabin with another solo traveller you can reserve the whole cabin for yourself, and pay for the cost of two spots.

Yes we are. Sail Croatia Adventures Ltd owns and operates Med Experience as part of our group and we share the same values and customer service standards. Sail Croatia has been operating since 2003 and today is one of the biggest and most respected tour operators in Europe.

Absolutely! When we arrive to our destination each afternoon, you’re free to explore the shore. Our knowledgeable team will be able to direct you to the best places to eat, drink or shop – but what you do with your evenings is up to you.

These tours are designed for 18-35 year old travellers, so a mixture of this age range and we find most of our clients are a mix of couples, groups and solo travellers. The main requirement is that all travellers are 18 years of age when the tour commences.

Visas are not required by citizens of the EU, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, USA or Canada. Citizens from South Africa require visas, including a Schengen visa since Croatia joined the EU in July 2013.

Absolutely. If you book a trip with eight people, you'll automatically be put on the same yacht. If you have fewer than eight people, you'll still be together along with other like-minded travellers. If your group is larger than eight we can divide you amongst a few of our yachts in whatever allocation you chose. Our yachts sail side-by-side during the trip, so even if your large group is spread across multiple boats, you'll see your trip-mates regularly during swim stops, regattas, excursions and nights out.

Yes they are, however the towels are for indoor/shower use only – you’ll need to bring your own beach towel for outdoors.

While you’re welcome to bring whatever kind of luggage you like, we recommend bringing a soft-sided bag such as a backpack, rucksack or duffel bag. Soft-style bags can be stowed away under floorboards, giving you more room during the week.

For those that are in odd numbered groups, or travelling solo, we try our very best to match you up with someone of the same sex, but it is not always possible due to the nature of our bookings.
